About

Lizzi Mann (b.1990) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Bristol.

Her practice focuses on the ritual of making, utilising weaving and laboured artistic methods as a meditative tool. Her work is informed by how both the materials and the maker are transformed through somatic movement, repetition and rhythm. They draw on the parallels of tension and harmony through their textile works, connecting threads to reweave a narrative before releasing the work from the loom.

With disciplines spanning hand-woven textiles, eco-dyeing, printmaking and painting, she creates intuitive works that fuse traditional craftsmanship with modern design. Lizzi works solely in organic mediums, speaking to their personal connection with the natural world and weaving as a tool to record place, environment and memory.
